NOTICE OF NON-DISCRIMINATORY POLICY

North Mobile Christian School admits students of any race, color, nationality or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis or race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and athletic and other school-administered programs.  NMCS accepts students for whom there is a reasonable expectation of success for this program.  NMCS has the right to refuse admission of any student at the discretion of the Principal/School Board.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

1.    Initial Admission to North Mobile Christian School

      A.    Application must be completed in entirety

      B.    For Kindergarten:

                 Age cut off is October 1st. 

                 Ex.:  K-4 must be 4 years old by 10/1.

      C.    Immunization records must be submitted before attendance begins.

      D.    Designated fees are due at time of registration.  (See the current

            Registration Fee sheet.)

E.    Copies of student’s birth certificate and social security card must be submitted.

1. Students who have been suspended, expelled, or cannot return to prior school attended (for grades or discipline) will not be accepted at North Mobile Christian School.  Students who are required to repeat a grade by a previous school attended cannot register at NMCS.
2. A new student entering grades 1 - 8 must take an entrance examination in the areas of mathematics, reading, and language arts.  Acceptance to our program will be determined based on the following criteria: 1) student’s last Stanford Achievement Test; 2) previous school year’s grades, including conduct; and 3) satisfactory performance on entrance exam.
3. Appointments will be made through the school office for the entrance exam. The fee is $20.00 and due at time of test.  Students who do not keep their appointment for testing may jeopardize their enrollment.

I.    Students who miss testing appointments are not guaranteed placement in a lower grade should their test results indicate that they are to be placed in a grade level that has full enrollment. 

2.    Continued Enrollment

      A.    An annual application for continued enrollment will be required for           each student in the month of January.  Applicants will be                    considered on a first come, first served basis.

B.    Registration fees are due with completed application to retain enrollment for the following year.

3.    Withdrawals/Transfers

A.    A withdrawal/transfer form must be completed prior to the intended withdrawal.

B.    Subject grades will be based upon work completed to date.

C.    School records will be released only upon payment of all tuition and fees.  All fees are non-refundable.

Pre-school Admissions: All students must have developed proper bathroom habits to be enrolled in pre-school classes.
